The Block Sharpener started off as a small family business. My Grandpa Paul Block Sr. and my Dad Paul Block Jr. in Capac, MI started our business in the early 1970’s. They are the original manufacturers and designers of this style sharpener. They had sold lots of their sharpeners to meat packing plants, butcher houses, and the Detroit Eastern Market, Gun and Knife shows, car shows, sport shows, and flea markets in Michigan.
In 1988 Grandpa and Dad had added our last name Block as a Trademark and had that stamped in the handle of every sharpener made, just like Case and Buck and any other PROUD American Made Business owner should do.
